Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican American journalist. She is currently employed by ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. She started working at ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is Maria Antonieta Collins, a TV reporter. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been for a long time, starting at the age of nine. Her ability in this area has helped her get her first position at Univision, Miami. She was able to work with national producers on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. It was the CBS affiliate in St. Petersburg hired her after this as a sports reporter. Then she moved into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for one of the Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley in Texas in which she was a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Also, she was often requested to fill in as anchors for the weather and sports. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate where she took on more responsibilities. She produced pieces about MLB's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and the NBA Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Apart from that, she also hosted and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. The show was commissioned as a anchor of the sports program for Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. She held the same position for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on UniMas Network. Antonietta's parents hail native to Veracruz Mexico. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November, 1985. Also, she has a younger sibling. In 1992 her family left Mexico and relocated to Miami. She divorced her parents soon after and, in the year 1995, she got married to a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. When on vacation, Antonietta stayed at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins brother had recently been offered the job of his dreams. Still a senior in high school and yet knowing exactly what she would like to accomplish in her future, Antonietta went to at the University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her needs. In the end, she loved the campus and the university offered the degree she was searching for. She graduated from high school and began studying media at the college. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was part of her class, developed a lasting relationship with the student. It was he who inspired her faith and confidence, as well as whose enthusiasm for Journalism deeply touched her. She was determined to exceed his expectations, never letting him down.
